Alberton has contracted with Evergreen Skateparks to build a 5,000-square-foot skatepark in the Hank Roat Memorial park! As described by Evergreen, “This modern skatepark / skate spot concept that we have developed for Alberton features a mix of street and transition elements with a tremendous amount of perpetual motion & flow. It will be a great park for users of all different skill levels & will be very organic looking and aesthetically pleasing.
**Please note that this skatepark design is an example of our design style and demonstrates the desired size the skatepark will encompass. Our final design for Alberton can be custom catered to the community based on input and feedback we receive from the project stakeholders.**”
With the recent addition of a $10,000 grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation and $15,000 from Washington Foundation in collaboration with Montana Rail Link, and contributions from Montana Skatepark Association and various fundraisers, PEAK Foundation has raised just over $100,000 toward the $150,000 cost. We’re getting close and plan to break ground late spring/early summer of 2019 in anticipation of further funding.
