Benefits of SkateParks

  • Physical and Mental Health Benefits: flexibility, endurance, coordination, and stress relief are all ways skateboarding helps an individual
  • Safe environment for skateboarding: skateboarding in the street or on other peoples property is dangerous and often illegal; providing a skate spot keeps the town looking nice and participants safer
  • Skateboarding allows those not interested in team sports to partake in a physical activity
