Our Board

The PEAK Foundation board is a group of dedicated and passionate volunteers who are committed to making a positive impact in their local community. This group of individuals works tirelessly to support and promote the growth of the community, focusing on initiatives that will benefit all members of society.

Megan Hamilton

President

Megan moved to Alberton in 2019 with her husband Garrett and their two dogs. She got her Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana and now works in Customer Service as a Quality Assurance Specialist. She enjoys hiking, floating, and spending time with friends and family. Megan loves being a part of the wonderful Alberton community. She saw PEAK as a great way to give back to the people who welcomed her when she moved into town.

Josie Hayes-Johnson

Vice-President

Josie Hayes-Johnson is a Montana-born native and was raised right here in Alberton. After attending the University of Montana, she and her husband moved back to Alberton and have lived here for the past 17 years. Josie delights in spoiling her bulldog, sharing a hot cup of tea with friends, and cheering on the Panthers. Josie is passionate about giving back to her community and is part of many local and county wide groups and organizations. Josie has enjoyed attending and volunteering at many past PEAK events and has experienced all the wonderful things PEAK offers the community. Joining the PEAK board was an easy choice.

Jeremiah Lapham

Treasurer

Jeremiah moved to Montana in 2019 from Texas with his wife Hillary and daughter Delilah. In 2020 the family decided to move to Alberton to be a part of the tight knit community and raise their growing family. They now have a soon to be 1 year old son named Logan. Jeremiah decided to join the PEAK board to add value to the organization and the community, with a goal of providing community members with equal access to health, education, and community activities. Jeremiah hopes that by being a board member, he can help to accomplish this goal.

Kathy Manson

Secretary

Kathy recently moved to Alberton from Arizona with her husband and 2 boys. Her husband, Patrick, is an Alberton native and they are excited to live and participate in a smaller community. Kathy runs her own laser engraving business in addition to subbing at Alberton School. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and reading. Kathy is the Treasurer for the Alberton PTSA and is involved in the Alberton Booster Club. She decided to jump right in with all the volunteering opportunities and PEAK was the perfect fit as she has her Masters degree in Teaching and years of experience working with kids.

Forrest Scott

Director

Forrest moved to Alberton in 2022, with his wife, Holly, and their daughter Rowan. Forrest and Holly met in Portland, Oregon and lived there for over a decade before the call of Holly's home state grew too strong to ignore. Forrest and his family enjoy spending free time outdoors exploring rivers, lakes and trails. Forrest has previously worked and volunteered for non-profit organizations and enjoys the community engagement that being a PEAK board member provides.

Samantha Balk

Special Projects

Samantha Balk is a small business owner, brand stylist, and creative based in Alberton, Montana. Originally from Michigan, she started her first business, a vintage clothing shop, at 18, later opening Grain, a sustainable lifestyle store in Missoula. There, she met her partner, artist David Miles Lusk, and together they founded Anomal Press, a studio specializing in fine art relief prints. Their work is driven by a shared love for traditional craftsmanship, community, and the natural world. In 2022, Samantha and David bought a home in Alberton, where they live with their 5 year old daughter, Blue. Deeply committed to public education, they support and advocate for strong, connected communities.

Eryn Kelly

Special Projects

Florist, Gardener, Homesteader, Artist, Wife, Mother and Community Memeber. Originally from Great Falls MT, my now husband Brian and I bought a house in Alberton in 2017 where we promptly married in the local park. Since them we’ve welcomed our two little kids, Wren and Jack. I specialize in online floral arrangements, run my homestead, raise my children and work towards enriching the community through my work with PEAK.

As part of the Special Projects Team, I help lead the event planning efforts that support our fundraising goals and create enriching experiences for the Alberton community.

I’m currently spearheading the Holiday Lights in the Park initiative, working towards a festive vendor driven Holiday Stroll. I also have many small, creative ideas to enhance our local park with gardening and creative projects making it a more vibrant space for everyone to enjoy.
